By browsing the gamers sub-topics news of TechRadar, we have noticed a topic of a recent scandal occurred in a game development company Tipsworks Studio who were working on a new game which should have been released in the 1st quarter of 2025, called Ballad of Antara.
This upcoming action-RPG should attract a mass of role-play-game fans to get to know about the game before it gets officially released on the market for players to purchase it.
A group of still unidentified hackers who managed to break into Tipsworks Studio’s personal computers and steal their game project files managed to sell the data on a dark web forums, where it got leaked from to public. Now it made the game playable on Windows and Mac operating systems too, using a PS5 emulator software such as PS5 Emux or similar ones. Originally the Ballad of Antara was imagined and planned to be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive game only.
This scandal ruined years of hard work of the game developers who were building this open-world title with multiple playable option of characters game, consistent of two big world maps which they have called “Emissaries”. Each of these worlds have their own unique stories, mass of quests, specified characters, melodic music, and tons of unique items, weapons and random encounters which have never been seen in some RPG before.
After interviewing the CEO of the company and asked if they have some plans how they are planning to handle this issue, we have got an interesting answer from them. Their plan is to continue working hard on the game, and make their content (world maps, characters count, stories, quests, items, in-game music and all overall content) to expand even more they have originally planned. This means thy are going to create mass of unique content in the upcoming release of Ballad of Antara PS5 exclusive then the current game-project database contains – which recently got hacked and leaked away. The CEO have promised that each member of their coders team will give their 110 percent of hard work and imagination to expand every aspect of the originally planned game, and make it the best detailed RPG which has ever been produced in the gaming industry.
As a gamer myself, it’s really inspiring to hear this optimistic plan and see that when something doesn’t kill you can just makes you stronger. We are really looking forward to Ballad of Antara to get released and for sure we are going to purchase our original copy of it, play it to the detail, then make our review of it and post it here.
